About IAA Global

The International Advertising Association (IAA) is a one-of-a-kind strategic partnership which champions the common interests of all the disciplines across the full spectrum of marketing communications - from advertisers to media companies to agencies to direct marketing firms - as well as individual practitioners.

The IAA was founded in 1938 to champion responsible marketing communications. Over time, the IAA has become the advocate for consumer and advertiser free choice. No other Association is as inclusive of all the disciplines involved in brand building, nor has an organization which is global in scale yet has grass roots representation in 95 countries.

The IAA is the one global organization committed to fight unwarranted regulation on behalf of all those engaged in responsible commercial speech and to act as an advocate for freedom of choice for individuals across all consumer and business markets.

The IAA champions advertising as a force for growth in all free market societies. Advertising revenues ensure an independent, pluralistic, affordable media with competing channels of information for consumers, which ensure that individuals have choices.

The IAA is uniquely positioned to intercept emerging cross-border trends before they become obvious, and to provide marketing communications professionals with an international, multi-industry forum for the global exchange of knowledge, best practices, professional development, intelligence, experience and ideas.

On behalf of its members, the IAA is dedicated to:

  • Fighting for consumers' freedom to exercise their right to choose in a free market society;

  • Championing the freedom to advertise responsibly without unwarranted restrictions in general, or by product category;

  • Becoming the preferred portal/source for best practices in brand building communications;

  • Delivering state-of-the-art professional development for the marketing communications community of the future.

  • Encouraging the freedom for advertisers and consumers to engage in the exchange of personal information, based on mutual respect, which delivers added value to the individual;

  • Providing an effective worldwide network for the exchange of local market knowledge, distance learning and professional skill-set innovations through a variety of media, which include a world-class website.

IAA Jordan’s Mission

IAA-Jordan is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of the marketing and communications industry and promotion of the critical role of advertising as a vital force in economic development as well as the foundation of diverse independent media in an open society.


IAA Jordan’s Objective

  • To promote the significant role of the industry in national development

  • To protect freedom and promote responsibility in commercial speech

  • To promote the industry as credible and well respected on a local and a regional level

  • To attract, educate, train and develop young talent in the industry

  • To create dialogue and a dynamic network of information exchange between members and create goodwill amongst them

  • To establish a self-regulatory code of ethics while promoting good business practices

  • To play an active role in developing creative thinking in all aspects of the marketing communications industry

  • To monitor all legal issues pertaining to the industry and inform members
