The International Advertising Association
(IAA) Jordan Chapter annually organizes a premiere Advertising and Marketing
Communications Conference in Jordan, to inform the industry on developments in
counterpart mature industries around the globe. The theme for this year's
Conference will be 'Box Basics' aiming to visit the fundamentals of the
business, in a bid to re-track industry basics and highlight them.
As this year's Conference targets industry basics, we shall revisit our main
industry guidelines, to remind ourselves of their continued validity, as we
continue to grip tight on the creative element of the task. And whilst the past
two conferences focused on innovative ideas shared from developed markets, and
encouraged local agencies and their clients to go daring, this year's campaign
concerns itself with the essentials and ground rules of the business. After all,
who posts an advert that lacks a clear message?
Targeting the "Box Basics" theme, speakers will discuss all fundamentals of the
mission. The focal aim is for ideas to emerge from the 'box' through its open
lid, and to avoid diversions that may lead the consumers and customers astray. A
wide scope of essentials shall be tackled by key speakers, such as those
concerned with branding, re-branding, and the luxury brand. Delegates will hear
general ad revisions to sharpen our knowledge of guidelines. Furthermore,
established professionals from different industries shall talk us through
trends, concerns etc. The Conference will not, amidst its conforming to its
theme, neglect the ever evolving 'creative' side of the work, and will be
hearing some to this effect.
In opting for the 'Box Basics' theme for 2007, the Conference aims to brush-up
and re-fresh industry 'basics' in the benefit of our customers and consumers.
And while it holds an invitation to revisit essentials, the Conference shall
lead the path for industry rehabilitation.
