The IAA’s professional development mission is to develop state of the art
education programs for preparing individuals for the marketing communications
industry of the 21st century.
IAA Members and the industry continue to benefit from our strong Professional
Development programs. With our fully integrated classroom, training, and
on-the-job learning structures, we offer students and professionals much more
than academic training: we offer a well-rounded, global perspective. Because of
our involvement in all aspects of the marketing communications industry, as well
as our commitment to the next generation of marketing communications
professionals, we are able to reach a widespread and diverse audience.
Our core Professional Development programs are highly successful. We work
closely with over 52 IAA Accredited Institutes. We offer InterAd, the global
student advertising competition as well as a host of other opportunities for
learning.
Professional Development crosses borders within the Association-creating
lifelong relationships that ensure our future strength.
Workshops
Workshops are organized on a regular basis that tackles topics that are relevant
to professionals in the advertising and marketing communications industry. Local
and regional experts bring the latest trends within the industry to develop
skills that will further advance Jordan’s advertising and marketing
communications capabilities.
IAA Accreditation Program
Universities, colleges, and professional schools that teach international
marketing communications may apply for IAA accreditation. Our current network of
educators is talented and diverse, but all are interested in offering
contemporary, exciting programming in advertising and marketing communications.
The IAA Accreditation program has a twenty-year record of accomplishment.
Presently, more than forty IAA Accredited Institutes hold membership in IAA's
global advertising education network. Institutes offer one or more IAA approved
courses in advertising/ marketing communications. Each actively participates in
numerous IAA functions and events, often including a close relationship with the
IAA Professional Chapter located in their geographic area.
Students graduating from these schools who have satisfactorily completed an
approved course of studies receive IAA's Diploma in Marketing Communications. To
date more than 18,000 students have been awarded this diploma; and most are
employed with advertising agencies, advertisers, and media in international
markets.

InterAd Student Competition
InterAd is the annual global student advertising competition which provides
hands-on marketing communications experience for university students from around
the world. It challenges student competitors to:
- Work in teams to create an agency Solve a genuine problem for a real-world
corporate client.
- Gather market data and prepare a marketing plan and all supporting creative
materials.
- Be judged in regional competitions by a committee of marketing communications
professionals.
Regional finalists compete at the international level, and the winning team is
rewarded with a trophy and other prizes.
